Auckland, 'The City of Sails', is set on a narrow volcanic isthmus of land between the Waitematau and Manukau harbours, which are frequently dotted with the sails of yachts. The blend of islands, Polynesian culture, glistening harbours and modern city environment creates a lifestyle ranked amongst the best in the world. Surrounded by hills and bushland, Auckland offers diverse natural beauty from the golden sands of the East Coast beaches to the black sands of the West Coast and the spectacular Hauraki Gulf with its many islands. We invited you to come to the 2007 ASM and discover why Auckland is one of the best places in the world to live - and visit.
