Australasian Sleep Trials Network Open Forum

The Melbourne ASTN Open Forum will feature an update by Professor Lyle Palmer on genomics and pharmacogenomics in sleep medicine and how genomics can be included in clinical trials. Also featured will be a guide from ASTN health economics consultant, Duncan Mortimer, to the various types of economic analysis that can be appended to an effectiveness trial. This talk will dispel some of the common misconceptions regarding economic evaluations. Delegates will also hear investigator presentations of new proposals for multicentre clinical trials. he ASTN is an NHMRC-funded facility to enable sleep researchers in our region to conduct multicentre clinical trials.
