LIWA invites respiratory researchers working in the area of cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis or infectious lung diseases to apply for its community supported project grants. These grants have been made possible through donations to LIWA by individuals and organisations who share our commitment to fighting lung disease through world class research.

LIWA honours this commitment by providing all Western Australian respiratory researchers the opportunity to compete against our own scientists and clinicians for these competitively assessed grants on every alternate year they are offered.

This is a grant of $50,000 for one year which is available to support laboratory, clinical and epidemiological research into the cause, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis.

Any researcher based in Western Australia may apply for this award in 2012.
