About the Opportunity
Due to continued growth, KINNECT Training currently has contract or casual Trainer positions available for the delivery of Spirometry training programs.
This opportunity requires the applicant to meet the Trainer / Assessor requirements for TSANZ Standards for Delivery of Spirometry for Coal Mine Workers as noted in the below.
Qualifications and staff ratios of course providers Spirometry training courses should be co-ordinated and run by a suitably respiratory qualified person(s) with substantial experience in the theoretical and practical aspects of spirometry measurement and interpretation. A respiratory scientist who has passed the Certified Respiratory Function Scientist (CRFS) examination and has at least five years of experience in a TSANZ accredited respiratory function laboratory would meet these criteria.
It would be highly desirable if the applicant also held a formal qualification in Training and Assessing which met the vocational education and training requirements for the delivery of accredited training (eg TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent).
In addition, opportunities for the delivery of other accredited and non-accredited training may be available to the right person which could include workplace health related training programs including –
- Occupational Health Nursing
- Fatigue management
- Manual handling / ergonomics
- Rehabilitation and return to work
- Fitness for work
- Drug and alcohol education
- Preventing slips, trips and falls.
To ensure your success, you would ideally have:
- Allied health qualifications (Exercise Physiologist / Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist / Nurse or similar)
- Meet the TSANZ Spirometry Trainer Assessor requirements
- Experience in the delivery of training programs
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (desired but not essential for non-accredited training)
- The ability to train in various locations in Brisbane and regionally
- Own reliable vehicle
- The ability to provide relevant training referees
Highly competitive remuneration will be commensurate with skills, experience and style of engagement (i.e. contractor or casual).
